Type 2 diabetes is a multifactorial, heterogeneous and dynamic spectrum of diseases. It is a process in which not only hormonal but neural, psychogenic and environmental factors are also effective. The cornerstones of classical therapy are diet and exercise. However, no one can diet and exercise for whole life. Adli Tıp İhtisas Yerleşmiş’nca düzenlenen Prof. Dr. Alper Çelik raporda da, işler öncesi lüzumlu tetkiklerinin bünyeldığı ancak maktulün tek laboratuvar tetkiki ve radyolojik inceleme mimarilamadan taburcu edilmesinin tıbben fıkdan olduğu kaydedildi.

Ulusal şeker hastalığı Kongresi’ne bahisşmacı olarak katılan Alper Çelik, 22 Mayıs 2013 tarihinde Almanya Türk Üniversiteliler Prof. Dr. Alper Çelik ve Akademisyenler Derneği’nin davetlisi olarak Köln Üniversitesi’nde planlı Metabolik Cerrahi konulu sempozyuma lafşmacı olarak sertldı. Aynı sene Mayıs ve Haziran aylarında Azerbaycan, Gürcistan’da planlı bilgilendirme dernekları ve seminerlerde Metabolik Cerrahi ile müteallik bilgiler verdi. Yine aynı yıl mayıs ayında Kazakistan Asfendiyarov Üniversitesi’nde tip 2 diyabetin cerrahi tedavisi saksılıklı bir seminer verdi.
